Air Pollution Graphs
The graphs show daily average pollution concentrations. The graphs will display the data in the following concentration units:
Carbon monoxide – parts per million (ppm)Nitrogen dioxide – parts per billion (ppb)
Ozone – parts per billion (ppb)
PM10 particles – micrograms per cubic metre (mg/m3)
Sulphur dioxide – parts per billion (ppb)
All data contained within the graphs should be treated as provisional, and may be subject to further checking and quality assurance. In addition, the graph database is constantly being updated, so please try later if the information you require is not currently available. Further information on pollution concentrations within the Borough can be obtained by contacting the Pollution Control Section of Barnsley MBC.

By following the instructions below, you can select graph(s) of up to the previous three months daily averages for each pollutant. More than one graph can be selected, so a comparison of all pollution concentrations from the monitoring site chosen can be undertaken.
Clicking on the arrows within the Location boxes will enable you to select any monitoring station. Highlight the monitoring station you require by clicking on it.
The From and To boxes enable to you to select the monitoring period in days, these can be any period of up to a maximum of 30 days
Data are available from the previous 90 days from today
To select the start date, type in the date in the From box. Please type the date in the following format 01/01/2005 (e.g. 1st January 2005)
To select the end date, type in the date in the To box. Please type the date in the following format 30/01/2005 (e.g. 30st January 2005).
Clicking on the arrow within the Pollutant box will enable you to select any pollutant or groups of pollutants. Highlight the pollutant you require by clicking on it.
Once you have made your selection, click on the GO box to produce the graph(s).
